Abdulaziz Saud Alshabeebi

Abdulaziz’s experience spans nearly 30 years since March 1990. He has more than 27 years of experience working with Ernst & Young, including more than 17 years as a partner. Abdulaziz was awarded the American Fellowship of Certified Public Accountants in 1997 and the Saudi Fellowship of Certified Public Accountants in 1998. Abdulaziz’s experience included auditing the accounts of many family Groups, commercial, service and industrial companies, companies operating in the energy, gas, petrochemical and real estate sectors, providing Zakat and tax services, and representing major local and foreign companies in their disputes before the departments of the Zakat, Tax and Custom Authority (ZATCA) (formerly: General Authority of Zakat and Tax) and primary and higher appeal committees.

Abdulaziz has participated in several advisory boards, boards of directors and audit committees, including the Advisory Board of Ernst & Young in the Middle East, the Advisory Board of the Capital Market Authority in Saudi Arabia, and the Board of Directors of the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants. He is currently participating in the Supervisory Board of Jana Center for Productive Families and a number of boards and audit committees of a number of companies.

Samer Mohammed Al Qadi

Samer has over 23 years of experience in auditing and consulting, during which he worked with Ernst & Young, including 7 years as a partner in Ernst & Young Middle East. Samer received his BA in Accounting from the University of Jordan (Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan) in 1996 and passed the exams of the American Fellowship of Certified Public Accountants in 2001.

Samer’s experience includes auditing the accounts of several family groups, commercial, service and industrial companies and companies operating in the energy, gas, petrochemical and real estate sectors and providing consulting services related to accounting standards and financial treatments to a wide range of local and international companies. Samer also has experience in managing the transition from Saudi Accounting Standards to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to joint stock companies and family businesses in various sectors. Samer has been actively involved in training the business community on accounting standards, internal control, governance and the Saudi companies’ regulations, and has also contributed to the internal training programs at Ernst & Young.

Samer also participates as a member of the audit committee in number of major companies in the Kingdom.

Ahmed Hassan Kamar

Ahmed’s experience in the field of Zakat and tax accounting spans nearly 21 years since October 1999, where he joined the Egyptian Tax Authority – Department of joint stock companies and foreign branches as a tax accountant until November 2005. He joined the tax centre for senior financiers in the Egyptian Tax Authority and his position was the first of its kind in the Middle East until November 2011. He joined the Zakat, Tax and Custom Authority (ZATCA) (formerly: General Authority of Zakat and Tax) in Dammam, where he worked as an accountant of Zakat and taxes, and was promoted to the position of auditor of the authority branch in Dammam, until July 2018.

Through those bodies, Ahmed was assigned to review and amend the returns, issue zakat and tax assessments, and examine the books of major taxpayers, which are represented in foreign branches of international companies, and mixed and Saudi companies, whether listed or not in the Saudi Capital Market Authority, including various industrial, commercial and service activities, contracting, tourism, hotel management companies, hospitals and major medical laboratory centres. He was also assigned to discuss and study the objections related to these assessments, study Zakat and tax issues and respond to them, implement international agreements and train Saudi colleagues in the field of zakat and tax assessment.

Ahmed Saud Al Shbaibi

Ahmed’s experience extends for nearly 11 years. He joined the Audit Department at Ernst & Young’s office from February 2006 to February 2008. During that period, he was involved in the review and issuance of financial statements for many foreign and Saudi companies. He joined a Master’s scholarship in the United States of America specializing in Business Administration (Finance). From February 2012 to the end of October 2017, he joined the department of Zakat and Income Tax at Ernst & Young’s office and was promoted to manager of Zakat and Income Tax Services where his duties were to prepare and review Zakat, tax and returns for various companies and activities. His duties also included replying to customer inquiries, advising and studying the assessments issued by the Zakat, Tax and Custom Authority (ZATCA) (formerly: General Authority for Zakat and Tax), submitting objections thereto, preparing studies related to them, representing clients in the field inspection work, attending the sessions of the primary and appeal committees and studying the decisions issued by them.
